Dental Practice Daily Huddle Agenda

  1. YESTERDAY’S PRODUCTION
  2. TODAY’S SCHEDULED PRODUCTION
  3. TOMORROW’S SCHEDULED PRODUCTION
(Obviously this information is valuable if you are going to work together as a team to reach a specific production goal each day. If a day is scheduled to goal, celebrate! If a day is scheduled below goal, work together to encourage people to proceed with necessary or desired treatment.)
  4. ANNOUNCE VOIDS IN THE SCHEDULE
Notifying the clinical team of this priority at the beginning of the day will alert them to move hygiene onto clinical or clinical into hygiene when necessary and when time is available. Also, more treatment could be accomplished for certain patients once financial arrangements are modified.
  5. IDENTIFY TIME IN THE SCHEDULE
in which emergencies can be seen smoothly without interfering with your regularly scheduled patient flow.
  6. NEW PATIENTS
Business administrators, be sure to give the team some information about each new patient so that everyone can assist in building that vital relationship. Your procedures, as well as your verbal skills, should be such that a new patient will leave your office feeling impressed by your professionalism, warmth, and skill.
  7. FINANCIAL CONCERNS
Determine which patients need time with the financial coordinator.
  8. CHART REVIEW PROTOCOL
    1. Necessary radiographs, if time allows, provide the radiographs at the present appointment. If time does not allow, schedule enough time at the next appointment for the taking of those images. This will help you to keep everyone current with radiographs.
    2. Last date of continuous care. Everyone in your practice should be actively involved with hygiene. The best time to schedule a person is when you are face to face with them. Therefore, while the person is in the office, if he/she is not presently scheduled for a professional cleaning and evaluation, do so before the leave.
    3. Incomplete Treatment. Any treatment that has been diagnosed must be reviewed with the patient at each appointment. Images must be taken to illustrate the necessary treatment, with the goal being to get the patient in the schedule.
  9. CLOSING THE MEETING
It is important to always end the meeting in a positive way. Some offices will end with a thought for the day. Assign a person to be responsible for doing this. This will bring closure to the meeting and begin your day on a positive note.
